How Compatibility Is Calculated
Destiny Matrix compatibility does not invent new birthday math. Each partner's birth date first produces their own complete chart — the same nine positions you get from the free single-person calculator. Every relationship number then combines the same position from both charts: the two values are added together and the sum is reduced (by adding its digits) until it lands between 1 and 22. The result is always one of the 22 Arcana — there are no percentages and no scores.
Because every number is a simple sum of the same position from both charts, the order of the two birth dates never matters — your chart plus theirs is identical to theirs plus yours. The full method, including every formula below, is documented on our methodology page.
The 8 Relationship Numbers
Relationship Center
